Last month I was super lucky to have been flown to Hamburg for a commercial shoot. I was also blessed to have got the job along with two very lovely actress’s, Holly Weston(known for playing Ash Kane in Hollyoaks) and Frances McNamee a wonderfully experienced stage actress who is making a bold and successful move to screen.
Coming from an Ice Skating and Dance background where there is a lot of bitchy backstabbing I am always a little nervous and wary of meeting new girls. One on one is usually fine but as soon as there is more than a duo reliant on one another to not be a bitch then it can not be the most fun…but in this case it was awesome. Unfortunately I was booked to go first to shoot so I was dragged off for clinical pedicures and fittings etc so I wasn’t able to hit up the Reeperbahn(Hamburg is famous for its unique legal Red Light District)but as soon as I was about the girls welcomed me back and we managed to pick possibly the worst Italian restaurant in the world! Like seriously, who can make Mozzarella and Tomato slices wrong?
Anyways I just wanted to shout out about these two fabulous Chicks for making my first experiences of Hamburg awesome and renewing my faith in nice non bitchy chicks!
Just got back into running, as and when my knee allows. And it feels great! Unfortunately for those that see me often my bitches habit is back.
Early Morning runs ending at my local Starbucks, Jamba or Whole Paycheck. Sun always seemed that little bit brighter, little bit warmer and a little bit glossier. We will meet again soon Big Apple!
SnHfoto Rocks. Just found this pic on my desktop and remembered what a great shoot we had. Thank You Si Howard! Good Times
Dressed to Kale in Charli Cohen. Love it! Charli Cohen will be back getting Chicks to strut their stuff at London Fashion Week this year. I can’t wait!
Christmas is rapidly upon us and volleying acting, training and keeping London Chicks all in the air I am caught between wanting a break and wanting to keep it all on the go. I am loving working with such a lovely bunch of contributors and of course my wonderful business partner Ms Bryson.
It is amongst all this mayhem that I am so incredibly Thankful to everyone who is working so passionately for Those London Chicks who has ever helped me along my journey of life. I hope that I have aided you as much as you have helped and supported me. I love the fact that our website is about working together and not stabbing each other in the back. There is enough of that. So lets all carry on. Do a good deed everyday. Selfishly it makes you feel good! Help someone who is struggling. You may be too but if they have broken their barrier and actually asked for help, help them. It takes a lot to ask, so be complimented they chose you.
I guess where I’m going with this little whittering is be thankful. Count your blessings. Be them people, a shower, a pair of trainers or your health. Give and you shall receive.
Some people just walk into a room, house, life, and make it their own. I used to do that. I don’t know why that ever stopped. I guess the human condition of shame and embarrassment infected me. I’ve decided to learn from the budster. To take everyday and situation as it comes. And to feel entitled to sprawl across the sofas of the world as if they were made for me to lord it up on.
Oooow exciting times ahead!
Is as tasty as a Spider-Man can!
And it was!
